“It was all bullshit.”
And that sums it up, in four words, the last of which they used to call a “barnyard epithet.” Donald Trump understands exactly how the Democrats have been trying to frame him, first with the Russian hoax, and then with the bogus Ukrainian “impeachment.”
“We were treated unbelievably unfairly, and you have to understand, we first went through Russia, Russia, Russia. It was all bullshit.”
Yeah, I know, it used to be a proscribed word, and now that the president is using it on live TV they’re having vapors over at MS-13, I mean MSNBC. They’re clutching their pearls at CNN, where not so long ago the Democrat stenographers with press passes couldn’t stop quoting the president as privately employing an eight-letter word beginning with “s” to describe certain Third World countries.
Hypocrisy is what it is, and Trump was calling them all out on it Thursday at his post-impeachment White House “celebration,” not just the corrupt talking heads, but also the Democrat politicians in Congress, who are vicious.
“They’re vicious and mean. Vicious Adam Schiff is a vicious, horrible person. Nancy Pelosi is a horrible person. And she wanted to impeach a long time ago when she said I pray for the president. She may pray but she prays for the opposite. But I doubt she prays at all.”
No, she doesn’t pray. But she does… prey.
“These are vicious people!”
The vicious and horrible people tried to railroad him, but they botched the job. And Thursday, once it was finally over, he could speak directly about this failed coup d’etat. He could lay it all out, no holds barred, not in 280 characters in a tweet, but live, on national television.
“It was evil, it was corrupt, it was dirty cops,” he said. “It was leakers, liars. It was a disgrace.”
He used the phrase “dirty cops” at least four times. Because that’s what they were, and are.
“These are the most crookedest, most dishonest, dirty people I have ever seen.”
Trump profusely thanked everyone — the Congressmen, the senators, his legal team. It was a party, complete with “Hail to the Chief.”
It was an unprecedented moment — a president calmly, candidly describing the endemic, entrenched corruption of his own government, as when he discussed the initial meetings with his lawyers.
“They said all the facts are on your side and I said, ‘You don’t understand. That doesn’t matter.’ ”
Think about it — at the end of these hoaxes, we now have a president who was almost illegally ousted from office by a corrupt cabal of corrupt Democrats, dirty cops, unelected bureaucrats and sore losers, all of who obstructed justice, falsified evidence and violated campaign-finance laws.
They spent years out-and-out lying in the media, perjuring themselves under oath, and then on top of it all handed each other grand journalistic prizes for “deeply reported” stories which they knew were nothing but obvious total fabrications.
It was all bullshit.
Politics ain’t beanbag, as Mr. Dooley once said. But it used to be that the losers could accept, well, losing. But then came the 2000 election, when the Gore-Lieberman ticket morphed into Sore Loserman. In retrospect, though, those were the good old days when Democrats played by Marquis of Queensbury rules.
“We thought after the election it would stop,” Trump said. “But it just started with the dirty cops. The FISA courts should be ashamed of themselves.”
Well, they should, and those judges are appointed by Chief Justice John Roberts, who refused to read questions in the trial designed to out the “whistleblower,” however indirectly. Again, all of this is not in dispute, no matter what the “fact checkers” may tut-tut. But what’s amazing is to have a president of the United States saying this, while in office, while running for reelection.
In 1969, Lyndon Johnson told a CBS News crew that his predecessor, JFK, and his brother, the attorney general, “were running a damned Murder Inc. down there in the Caribbean.” Which they were. But they were dead, and LBJ was out of office, and yet he still begged the network to excise his comments from the interview.
Now the corruption is all out in the open. The Democrats paid for a “dossier” — through multiple cutouts, to hide the source. Then they used an assistant attorney general whose wife was on Hillary’s payroll to hand off the fake “dossier” to a crooked FBI agent who is now credibly charged with “lack of candor” under oath, and whose wife was herself taking hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash from Clinton bundlers.
“When they impeach you for nothing,” the president said, “it’s not easy to like them, folks. I’m trying, but it’s not easy.”
That was what he said before the celebration, when he was speaking to the reverend clergy at the National Prayer Breakfast. Back at the White House, well, you know what he said. He spoke the truth.
“It was all bullshit.”
