The tradition continues with the Campbells.
For generations, they’ve been some of the most violent, incorrigible criminals in Boston.
This week, the thuggiest thug of the current generation, Alvin Campbell Jr., was convicted in state court of horrific crimes against defenseless, drunken women
His sister is Andrea Joy Campbell, the state attorney general. She’s taken a different route, devoting her career to running interference for the corrupt Democrat bosses at the State House, suing Donald Trump for headlines, and, er, that’s about it.
As a reward for her loyal services to her comrades, La Campbell now owns a mansion in a posh lily-white suburb – escaping the kind of violent street crime her family has specialized in in Boston for the last 70 years.
Her brother Alvin Jr. was a violent, serial rapist. Her father Alvin Sr. and her uncle Arnold were all about killing people, their fellow blacks.

The Campbells’ murder spree was over control of bogus “job-training” – welfare, actually — during the War on Poverty.
What makes the timing of Campbell’s latest convictions ironic is that a big disturbance erupted this week at Boston City Hall. Local “activists” and “advocates” disrupted a City Council meeting over the disbursement of still more phony-baloney “jobs” of the type that Alvin Campbell Sr. murdered to get.
I bring this up only because the sordid history of the Campbell family has been largely ignored by the Democrat fluffers in Boston media. The truth doesn’t help The Party.
Alvin Sr. and his brother Arnold were second-generation bank robbers. Their daddy was from the Islands and he taught him the family trade, which was crime.
They were finally arrested in 1957 after a bank robbery in Canton. Despite their race, the Campbells had skated time after time.
At their sentencing in federal court, the judge angrily read the Campbells’ rap sheets, detailing “fix after fix after fix.”
“This is a sordid picture,” the judge said. “Never in my life have I seen such records.”
I covered all this in my book Hitman, about local mobster Johnny Martorano. He’s a white man.
Martorano is the main reason Alvin Jr. and his attorney general sister are alive today, because he murdered the only witness who could have sent their father to prison for life.
Here’s how it happened.
The first big Democrat welfare program was the War on Poverty. (Spoiler alert: Poverty won.)
Think of it as an early version of BLM and DEI — pointless squandering of billions in public money on grifters and thugs.
Back then the Democrats were pushing “job training.” It was like blowing a dog whistle for gangbangers and pimps. In Boston, the first thug to grasp the scam potential of “job training” was one Guido St. Laurent, a blind jailbird.
St. Laurent had a sardonic wit. He called his anti-poverty group New England Grass Roots Organization – NEGRO. The Campbells wanted to muscle in on NEGRO.
They knew it was just another racket, except that the money was infinitely better than robbing banks. Plus you didn’t have to worry about going to prison, because it was all legit.
Tom Wolfe wrote about the job-training scams back in 1970:
“Everybody but the most hopeless lames knew that the only job would wanted out of the poverty program was a job in the program itself. Never mind getting job counseling. You be the job counselor. You be the ‘neighborhood counselor.’”
NEGRO was headquartered above a pizza shop on Blue Hill Avenue. One night in 1968 the Campbells engineered a hostile takeover of NEGRO – they went in and shot to death three of the “neighborhood counselors,” including ex-con St. Laurent.
Unfortunately for the Campbells, a local pimp/neighborhood counselor named Ronald Hicks survived the massacre. He was going to testify against his rival thugs.
So the Campbells went to Johnny Martorano and asked for a favor: Please kill Hicks.
It was no big deal for Martorano. In Roxbury, he was known as “Bwana Johnny.” He had already murdered at least four blacks.
The whole story is a lot like the final scene in the classic 1973 movie, Superfly. The black drug dealer warns the crooked white cop he’s double-crossed against taking him out, because Superfly has put out his own contract on the captain.
“I hire the very best killers there are,” Superfly tells the white cop. “White killers. White ones, baby!”
So Johnny Martorano, white killer, shot Ronald Hicks in the head as he was snorting a line of cocaine. With no witnesses against them, the Campbells beat the triple-murder rap.
Alvin Campbell Sr. resumed his bloody life of crime and fathered both the savage rapist and the attorney general.
And now, the same week that Alvin Jr., a third-generation violent thug, finally goes down on a significant rap, a different crew of race hustlers are battling over the same type of phony-baloney jobs in “the community.”
A bunch of them had a sit-in, demanding more summer jobs for “youth.”
Summer jobs — another scam that Tom Wolfe wrote about in that same story about job training. You got a fat paycheck for hanging out doing nothing all day at some worthless Democrat bureaucracy.
“They didn’t even need one half the people they already had working for them and so all you learned was how to make work, fake work and malinger out by the Xerox machine. It was true you learned these skills from experts in the field, but it was a depressing field to be in.”
Maybe, but it sure beats working.
And with the proper brown-nosing, the yutes can aspire to an eventual full-time life of leisure in the hackerama of color.
You know, like Segun Idowu, Tania Fernandes Anderson, Monica Tibbits-Nutt, Dianne Wilkerson, Monica Cannon-Grant, Kendra Lara, Chuck Turner, etc. ….
Obviously, you must be careful. As you can see from the aborted careers of so many who followed in the footsteps of NEGRO, it’s still possible for The Man to jam you up in one way or another, at least if there’s a Republican US attorney.
But there’s still big bucks in the NEGRO-style rackets. Just ask Rep. Ayanna Pressley’s drug thug husband, Conan Harris. After 10 years in prison, that jailbird is now an “empowerment consultant.” He owns $10 million worth of real estate, including a mansion on Martha’s Vineyard.
Can somebody say reparations, one consulting contract at a time?
And in Boston, it all started with the Campbells and NEGRO.
The tradition continues.
