Grace’s Best and Worst Looks from Last Night’s Met Gala – 5.5.26

The Met Gala was last night and the celebs were out in full force. Or at least–some of them.

The event was boycotted by plenty of A-listers because of its sponsors and honorary chairs and sponsors, Mr. and Mrs. Big Bad Billionaire Bezos.

The theme of last night (not that anyone actually adheres to the theme regardless) was “Fashion is Art.”

Here is my best and worst dressed of the night.

Worst Dressed

Top spot has to go to Sarah Paulson who apparently was trying to make a statement about the event while also attending the very thing she is virtue-signaling about.

I haven’t seen this kind of gag-worthy sanctimony from the carpet against the rich since AOC’s infamous Tax the Rich dress moment in 2021.

FLASHBACK:

Other worsts (and I don’t think these need much explanation.)

Cardi B

Nope. Not a fan of this one.

Katy Perry

This look is boring and tired. Kim K did it in 2021 for Pete’s sake.

Beyoncé

Speaking of boring…

We’ve seen this one million times. The Met is all about innovation and art and taking risks. This outfit felt very blah to me.

Now let’s do Best Dressed!

Heidi Klum

Does she look crazy? Yes. Do I admire her commitment to making a statement? Also yes.

Art is all about evoking emotion. And this look evoked plenty of opinions. Well done Heidi!

Coco Jones

I loved this gown. The color and shape of the dress paired with the simple styling of the hair and glam makes for a 10/10 look.

Kendall Jenner

The Jenners/Kardashians are always my favorite attendees to keep an eye out for and Kendall slayed yet again with this Zac Posen creation.

Plus.. the gown also could do a very cool trick…

Hailey Beiber

WOW! The sculpted bodice (made of 24-karat gold!) coupled with the bright blue pop of color made for a fabulous Met look. And the coolest part was that Hailey wore the dress and not the other way around.

Sabrina Carpenter

Sabrina took the theme seriously and it paid off. The Dior dress was made out of filmstrips from the 1954 hit film Sabrina. The attention to detail from head to toe is what sets this look apart from the rest of the attendees.
