Taylor’s Takes: Trans sanctuary cities are the last refuge of the insane

Yes, Dewey Cosgrove-Atienza, or Dee Dee Delight, is a female cosplaying as a male cosplaying as a female. That’s how delusional this movement has become.

This week the Worcester City Council was mobbed by flamboyant and grotesquely painted members of the local LGBTQ community.

One by one (sometimes two by one, depending on the plurality of their pronouns) these self-professed transgender, two-spirit, non-binary, and whatever-else beings threw a fit before the council members.

Their complaint? “Trump is mean and scary and threatens my existence.”

The council was hearing public comments before ultimately voting to declare Worcester a Transgender Sanctuary City, whatever that is.

“If you say that you’re afraid of Trump and that’s why you don’t want the city to be a safe space for trans people, you better prepare for trans people to make this a very unsafe space,” meekly threatened Dewey Cosgrove-Atienza, a transgender male.

If you don’t recognize Cosgrove-Atienza, you may know her better by her drag persona, Dee Dee Delight.

Yes, Dewey is a female cosplaying as a male cosplaying as a female. That’s how delusional this movement has become.

The threat from the blue afro wig-wearing transgender drag queen would never hold up in court, as Cosgrove-Atienza would later reveal to the council that she suffers from a multitude of afflictions, including narcolepsy, autism, and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Ms. Delight described the latter as a connective tissue disorder “that causes me immense physical pain.” She’s hardly in any position to follow through on her reputed threat to the good citizens of Worcester, Massachusetts.

By the way, I took some time to read up on Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and it seems that the National Institutes of Health can’t definitively associate the disease with pain.

While she wasn’t the only one, Cosgrove-Atienza was certainly a stand-out among the dozen or so screaming, multi or non-gendered people speaking not so much in favor of a trans sanctuary status, but more so against Donald Trump.

The behavior shown by Dee Dee Delight et al., in the Worcester City Council chamber this week was the result of having been coddled for four years by the insane policies of the Biden administration. Biden had reversed a Trump-era decision that kept transgenders from serving in the military. He openly advocated for children to transition at an extremely early age. Biden looked the other way when hospitals around the nation were pushing puberty blockers and mastectomies to pre-teen girls. Nude transgenders flaunted themselves on the White House lawn.

The Biden era was a free-for-all in the LGBTQ community. Anything and everything went. For God’s sake, pedophiles were given a new, less-threatening moniker: minor-attracted persons, or MAPS.

DEI gave the LGBTQ community what it always craved: affirmation and attention. The importance placed on differentiation created a competition for uniqueness. The competition, however, had devolved into a never-ending splitting of spectrums and identities.

Now that Trump is in office, though, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives are disappearing from commerce and education alike. Companies are focusing on merit-based hires and promotions. Schools are realigning curriculums with the essentials of learning and purging the libraries of pornographic material that glorifies a queer lifestyle.

And now that DEI is disappearing, being extraordinarily abnormal is losing its luster. If LGBT were listed on the Nasdaq, Trump’s election would have been the queer community’s October 1929.

Without the coddling, special attention, and preferred status, the transgenders and their allies can only feel like they’re being belittled and stomped down beneath the heteronormative members of society. What they fail to realize is that they’ve been on a pedestal, high above us for the past several years.

So, all they have left to do is scream and continue to imagine their own realities. Unfortunately, they were able to con Worcester into playing along with their delusions. There is no such thing as a trans sanctuary city, as there are no laws specifically targeting transgender individuals.

Even in defeat they need to feel special.

I can only hope that this is the peak of such insanity. Much like DEI, I hope history proves this twisted fad of transgenderism is just that – a fad. One that is realized to have been one of Western civilization’s most harmful blunders, never to be repeated again. I hope this is the last gasp of the dying trans insanity.
