Taylor’s Takes: Will the world listen to Trump now?
I’m really not very sure how many times he has to be proven right in order for that to happen, but it feels like now should be the last time.
Well, well, well….
Perhaps now, leaders all over the world will listen to President Donald J. Trump. I’m really not very sure how many times he has to be proven right in order for that to happen, but it feels like now should be the last time.
After warning for decades that Iran is hellbent on bringing the United States of America and Western civilization to its knees and realizing that they have been waging a one-sided war of terror against us for nearly fifty years, President Trump took decisive action last month and began bombing key military and government infrastructure in the Middle Eastern country.
Trump’s strike was predicated on intelligence that Iran was developing long-range nuclear warheads capable of reaching Western countries.
Obviously, Democrats scoffed at the idea that Iran was working toward nuclear weaponization, despite decades-old evidence to the contrary that eventually led to the foolish Iran nuclear deal, penned by Barack Obama. “Sure, you can develop nuclear power, just don’t use it for bad stuff, guys!”
Thank God Trump scrapped the deal.
But it wasn’t just the liberals in this country that sneered at Trump’s actions against Iran.
Spain was the first standout nation that refused to render assistance to the United States by denying access to their strategically placed airfields. Master negotiator that he is, Trump briefly cut off all trade with the European nation before they eventually relented. A wise decision.
Then, just last week, more key European “allies” turned their nose up at the notion of aiding the U.S. and Israeli militaries in the quest to neutralize an evil power and free an oppressed people. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, and Italian PM Giorgia Meloni all released a joint statement criticizing Trump’s actions and calling for diplomacy with Iran over the matter.
But now, Iran has shown itself to be an ultimate danger to all of those nations.
Over the weekend, the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism shocked Europe and other surrounding nations by launching an intermediate-range ballistic missile toward a U.S. military base in the Indian Ocean, some 2,000 miles from Tehran.
Most in the world thought this was impossible for Iran. Most thought Iran was telling the truth when they said they weren’t developing long-range weaponry.
Now that’s been proven to be a false statement from the seat of terrorism, perhaps Starmer, Merz, Macron, Meloni, and others will be a little more willing to listen to what Trump has to say.
Perhaps people should listen to a President who is on a quest for peace, who has campaigned and boasted about not only ending wars, but not having started any new wars. And they should especially listen to his reasoning when he does start a new war, besmirching his own record.
Perhaps they’ll listen when the greatest intelligence agencies in the world are informing the President of the United States what Iran is up to.
But I guess it’s just easier for these world leaders to laugh behind Trump’s back until he’s actually proven right. Weird way to lead.
