Taylor’s Takes: Minnesotans suffering from Stockholm Syndrome
Democrat lies are costing Democrat lives.
The people of Minnesota are suffering from some newfangled form of Stockholm Syndrome.
That’s the only explanation for their ill-conceived actions.
To detest President Trump and his actions is one thing. Hell, I detested Joe Biden’s presidency as much as any other Democrat administration during my years of political consciousness. I yammered, called him names, and pointed out his frailties.
But I never took to the streets to express my disgust with his policies. I never used my vehicle to impede federal law enforcement officers. And I certainly never approached a fed while carrying a 9mm handgun with two fully loaded magazines with the idea that I’d use my firearm against them.
But this is what the people of Minnesota have become. And it goes beyond their hatred of Donald Trump.
Surely, that is the basis that feeds their ill-conceived activities. Orange Man Bad is such a devil to them that they slop up any and all drivel directed against him, especially from those of Democrat leadership positions.
Following the fatal, self-defense shooting of Renee Good in Minneapolis earlier this month, Governor Tim Walz strongly implied that the people of the State of Minnesota were at war with the federal government.
Drawing comparisons to Minnesota’s involvement at Gettysburg during the Civil War, Walz said, “It was Minnesota’s 1st [Volunteer Infantry] that held that line for the nation… And I think now we may be in that moment that the nation’s looking to us to hold the line on Democracy.”
There you have it. An open invitation from the sitting governor of Minnesota to rise up in arms against what is perceived tyranny.
And now Minnesota’s imaginary war has it’s first casualty since Walz’s declaration.
Deranged lunatic male nurse Alex Pretti, 37, appears to have been antagonizing Department of Homeland Security agents before a scuffle ensued and he was ultimately fatally shot.
As with Renee Good’s case, the exact details of what transpired between Pretti and Border Patrol agents don’t really matter in the court of public opinion. I’m sure the investigation will parse those details out and determine whether charges against the Border Patrol agent are necessary. That’s where the actual court can step in.
But the court of public opinion can’t overlook the initial facts of either the Good or Pretti incidents. They both showed up to instigate federal officers and, whether they realized it or not, armed themselves with potentially lethal implements.
The mere fact is this: they’re not the only ones who are willing to go to such lengths to fight in this perceived war. Videos of armed, open-carrying instigators “defending” their Minnesota neighborhood from ICE activity have circulated. I’m certain there are others more wisely concealing their firearms, but nevertheless fully intent on using them if they deem it necessary.
These people have been duped so deeply by their hatred of Trump and their dedication to newly-minted warmongers like Tim Walz that they are quite literally holding themselves hostage.
Instead of welcoming their federal liberators, Minnesotans are digging in their heels and arming themselves to defend their true captors: illegal alien fraudsters. And the well-placed lies of “Democracy is under attack” and “no human is illegal” are fueling their willingness to ensure that the actual invaders of this country are permitted to commit as much fraud and violent crime as they please without fear of the justice system.
Democrat lies are costing Democrat lives.
