REALITY CHECK: Jennings reminds Dingell what the Democrat Party is all about – 6.3.25

Last time we checked in on Debbie Dingell– she was taking a relaxing snooze during a congressional hearing.

Before that, the Congresswoman from Michigan was warning Americans that then-presidential candidate Donald Trump might put her in an internment camp if he won re-election.

Fast forward to June of 2025 and Debbie is not in an internment camp. On the contrary, she is a panelist on CNN.

You might watch this and think Scott Jennings destroyed Dingell.

Debbie claims that AOC isn’t the face of the Dem party…but she might want to take a look at recent polling in between her nap times.

The Hill’s Brad Bannon wrote:

She’s making big waves in the media and on the ethernet, barnstorming the nation with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.). The dynamic progressive duo has generated energetic and enormous crowds in town hall meetings in such Republican locales as Missoula, Mont., where congressional Republicans are too timid to meet their own constituents.

Ocasio-Cortez could inherit the Sanders primary base from 2016 and 2020 which would be a strong asset in a primary contest that could be large as the field in the Kentucky Derby. Ocasio-Cortez’s ties to Sanders and the progressive community mean she could raise millions in small contributions to fund a viable campaign.

Jasmine Crockett has also become a major player in the Democrat party over the last few months.

Before he was ousted as DNC Vice Chair, David Hogg endorsed Crockett as the type of leader his party needed.
