Push for crooked Ranked Choice Voting continues in MA
Coming up tomorrow, RCV is holding a “Hands Off MA” rally in Boston to “cultivate stronger democracy.” It is more like disenfranchising voters.
It is not going away!
Much like the effort to pass a graduated income tax in Massachusetts (five times rejected by the voters and once by the courts before finally prevailing on the seventh try in 2022), the deranged proponents of Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) are still hanging around, hoping to ram through this demented system of voting.
In 2018, Massachusetts voters had the wisdom to turn down this corrupt left-wing fantasy of winning elections for left-wing lunatics even if they get fewer votes than the more popular candidates on the ballot.
Since that statewide referendum loss, RCV has been working at the municipal level while biding their time until their next shot at stifling democracy. State law doesn’t allow an issue that was rejected to be a ballot question for at least 2 years.
We need to stay vigilant in fending off this insanity.
In February, the comrades of RCV held an “educational” meeting with the League of Women Vultures, a branch of the DNC. (On a side note, I hope that Elon Musk’s DOGE will investigate the League to see if they get any taxpayer funds for their nonprofit.)
A whopping 30 people showed up. Even Republicans can get more people in a room. Guess who attended this “inspiring evening?” Newly elected State Rep. Michelle Badger. I don’t have to tell you her party. She’s a woke Democrat who has co-sponsored RCV legislation this year.
Coming up tomorrow, RCV is holding a “Hands Off MA” rally in Boston to “cultivate stronger democracy.” It is more like disenfranchising voters.
Guess who will be their “powerful speakers?” One is Sen. Ed Markey, who has been in Congress since Gerald Ford was president. Another will be Lt. Gov. Kim Driscoll, who has worked with Gov. Maura Healey to roll out the red carpet for the illegal immigrants. (In 2023, Driscoll pleaded with all law-abiding taxpayers to take freeloading illegal aliens into their homes and support them. How’d that attempt at virtue-signaling work out for you, Kim?)
The Dropkick Murphys will be doing a “special acoustic set.” I guess I will never listen to them again!
How could RCV think that Markey, who has been slurping at the public trough for more than half a century, is a poster boy more democracy? He makes a better symbol for the campaign for term limits for politicians than for RCV.
Driscoll is part of the administration that has spent more than $2 billion of our money on housing, clothing, feeding and health care for the hordes of unskilled Third World illegals who swarmed into the Commonwealth at the behest of the Democrat party.
And she’s been allowing the undocumented Democrats to register to vote, so they can keep those cradle-to-grave handouts coming. As you may remember, Sen. Peter Durant found out last year that more than 500 of them had registered to vote out of variousHealey hotels.
Is that promoting democracy? No, that is disenfranchising our legal voters, who work for a living and obey the law, unlike the illegals.
While RCV claims that they are promoting more choices, they are devaluing our vote. The candidate who gets the most votes should be the winner of the election. The winner should be decided by some weird ranking system (that somehow Republicans or even conservative Democrats ever seem to win).
Don’t we have enough problems with keeping the electoral system honest without RCV?
I would ask you to warn your friends and family about RCV, but if they see Markey and Driscoll promoting it, what more do they need to know? The next proposal those two hacks come up with to improve the lives of working Americans will be their first.
