Illegal crisis leaves Massachusetts pinching pennies

And this situation is not going to change any time soon.

Warning! Warning! Warning!

Despite President Donald Trump’s impending return to the White House, we are still in woke danger. Well, that’s if you are a resident of the People’s Republic of Massachusetts.

This week Gov. Maura Healey’s Transportation Funding Task Force met to discuss “transportation gaps throughout the state and possible funding models.” That’s State House-speak for raising taxes and fees.

Shouldn’t there be no funding problems after they passed the infamous “millionaires’ tax” that was supposed to pay for roads and bridges?

Wasn’t that their mantra during the statewide-referendum campaign two years ago?

The state is also grabbing more revenue via sports gambling. Once again, why would Beacon Hill need more from us?

Unfortunately, we all know the answer: Healey and her Democrat allies have drained the general fund to pay for the cradle-to-grave handouts for tens of thousands of illegals yearning to live free on our dime forever.

And this situation is not going to change any time soon.

With Healey now promising to protect the illegals from the Trump administration’s plans for “mass” deportation, we will be getting even more flocking to Massachusetts. Brace for impact.

For some comic relief this week, Lt. Gov. Kim Driscoll released a preliminary report with suggestions as to how to trim the costs for housing the illegals in “emergency” shelters.

Her big idea was not to amend the Right to Shelter law so that they would no longer be entitled to taxpayer-funded benefits, also known as free stuff.

Her suggestion was to “increase efficiency” and “minimize the use of pricey hotels and motels.” Wow! Why didn’t we think of that before?

With Driscoll’s complete failure, we can expect any day now a supplemental budget being filed in the House for hundreds of millions of dollars to pay for more housing and other goodies ticketed for the non-working, non-citizen, non-English-speaking so-called migrants.

Veterans? Who cares about veterans? Certainly no one in power in the Democrat party.

Last summer the legislature passed the annual state budget with only $500 million set aside for emergency housing despite the constant influx of freeloading illegals into our state.

This was done to give Democrat legislators seeking re-election a talking point on the campaign trail that they had curbed the problem. Now that the elections are over, they’re going to lower the boom on law-abiding Americans to pay for the hordes of criminals swarming in from the Third World for a lifetime on the dole.

Remember, Americans who work for a living in Massachusetts now exist only to support the leisurely lifestyles of the undocumented Democrats flopping among us with their endless non-negotiable demands for ever more handouts.

The 2026 elections cannot come fast enough!
