Grace’s Top Three Lines from Trump Address – 3.5.25
If you didn’t watch the speech last night–fear not, I have you covered.
I stayed up with the intention of watching a few minutes of the beginning of the address and then I was just going to catch the rest online today. But I couldn’t. There was so much going on. Democrats holding up ping pong paddles, Rep. Al Green making an ass of himself and Pocahontas trying to go toe to toe with President Trump (bad idea).
But none of that nonsense could take away from the President’s address. It was stellar. I might even say it was his best speech ever. (Said in Trump’s voice, of course.)
My top 3 favorite moments from the speech:
- “New President “
This is the winner and it is not even close! When I heard Trump say this line I knew it was going to be hard to beat. The Democrats have been lying for the last four years about how they couldn’t fix the border without more money or bipartisan legislation or you name their excuse. But the numbers don’t lie. And Trump summed it up with one hell of a line.
2. DJ Daniel Steals the Show
When Trump shared DJ’s incredible story and his love for the police, it was hard not to cry. When Secret Service Director Sean Curran made him a Secret Service Agent it was impossible not to cry!
During so many of the heartwarming moments last night, the Democrats really showed their true colors. But their callousness was never more clear than their response to young DJ.
Truly despicable.
3. Trump Lists Off Waste
Trump listed off several of the insane wasteful programs that Americans have been funding over the decades. But the real kicker was when he went through the age of people in our social security databases. The lighthearted nod to RFK Jr. was perfect.
BONUS: Pocahontas Gets Owned
I’m not going to let Elizabeth Warren on the top 3–she doesn’t deserve it. But this exchange did make me chuckle.
What a great speech. It was heartfelt and full of substance but it also had so much of what makes Trump, Trump. His zingers and shots across the bow kept things moving and interesting but there was a playfulness in the way he was trolling the Dems that played well on camera. And most importantly, the President didn’t let any of the Democrats shenanigans make him angry. He was having too much fun.
Bravo Mr. President. Well done.
