Dems flip-flop on border security

As much as they hate to admit it now, national Democrats were against illegal immigration before they were for it.

All quotes guaranteed verbatim:

Barack Obama, 2005: “We simply cannot allow people to pour into the US undocumented, undetected, unchecked, circumventing the people who are waiting patiently, diligently, lawfully to become immigrants in this country.”

Hillary Clinton, 2014: “I voted numerous times when I was a senator to spend money to build a barrier to try to prevent illegal immigrants from coming in and I do think you have to control your borders.”

Sen. Chuck Schumer, 2009: “People who enter the United States without our permission are illegal aliens and illegal aliens should not be treated the same as people who enter the US legally. The American people will never accept immigration reform unless they truly believe that their government is committed to ending future illegal immigration.”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, 2008: “We do need to address the issue of immigration and the challenge we have of undocumented people in our country. We certainly do not want any more coming in.”

Sen. Bernie Sanders, 2007: “I don’t know why we need millions of people to be coming into country who will work for lower wages than American workers and drives wages down even lower than they are right now.”

Ex-Sen. Harry Reid, 1993: “If making it easy to be an illegal alien isn’t enough, how about offering a reward for being an illegal alien? No sane country would do that, right? Guess again…. (If you’re an illegal alien who gives birth in the US you can go on welfare immediately.) Is it any wonder that two-thirds of the babies born at taxpayer expense in the country-run hospitals in Los Angeles are born to illegal alien mothers?”

Democratic Party platform 1996: “We cannot tolerate illegal immigration and we must stop it… (At the border before Bill Clinton) drugs flowed freely. Illegal immigration was rampant. Criminal immigrants, deported after committing crimes in America, returned the very next day to commit crimes again… We continue to firmly oppose welfare benefits for illegal immigrants. We believe family members who sponsor immigrants into this country should take financial responsibility for them, and be held legally responsible for supporting them.”

But that was then, and this is now, and all of the above have come to the conclusion that the importation of a criminal, foreign, welfare-dependent underclass will ensure their future political dominance, the fate of the nation be damned.

It’s as simple as that.

Everything these Democrats predicted – welfare fraud, drugs, rampant crime of every variety – has come to pass, and then some. And yet, they are demanding that we allow more hordes of these criminals from the Third World to invade the US.

Here are some (pre-shutdown) press releases from the US attorney in Boston concerning prosecution of illegal aliens:

“Six arrested in Lawrence for Identity Theft and Social Security Fraud.” ICE’s special Document and Benefit Task Force (DBFTF) has been going after illegals “predominately from the Dominican Republic, who are believed to have obtained stolen identities of US citizens living in Puerto Rico and who have used those identities to obtain documents and public benefits they would not otherwise be eligible to receive, such as Registry of Motor Vehicle identity documents, Social Security numbers, Medicaid, unemployment and public housing subsidies.”

In other words, welfare.

“Dominican National Sentenced for Illegally Possessing Firearm and Ammunition/ Defendant threw stolen loaded gun over fence when approached by officers to be taken into custody for deportation.” That was in Roslindale.

“Two Dominican Nationals Arrested for Drug Trafficking.” Alleged heroin dealers, from Lawrence of course, with a gun.

Here’s one from Connecticut: “Citizen of Honduras Sentenced to Prison for Illegally Reentering US after Being Deported.” This illegal had already pleaded guilty to strangulation second degree in a domestic dispute.

Whatever happened to #MeToo?

Another from Connecticut: “El Salvadoran National Pleads Guilty to Reentering the US after Being Deported.” This illegal pled guilty to two different drunk driving charges, one of which involved smashing into an unmarked Vernon PD cruiser while smashed.

Whatever happened to the Mothers Against Drunk Driving?

This catastrophe all started with the Immigration Reform Act of 1965, sponsored by Sen. Ted Kennedy. Let’s close with his lies, which the Democrats continue to perpetuate to this very day:

“The bill will not flood our cities with immigrants. It will not upset the ethnic mix of our society.  It will not relax the standards of admission. It will not cause American workers to lose their jobs.”
