Dump this DA before it’s too late!

Marian Ryan has got to go as district attorney of Middlesex County.

At age 71, she may not be the worst prosecutor in Massachusetts – that dubious honor goes to the 72-year-old Michael “Meatball” Morrissey of Norfolk County.

The difference is, Meatball was smart enough not run for reelection. Marian Ryan is still on the ballot, and she needs to get lost.

Vote for David Solet, please. You owe it to yourself – and to your own personal safety.

Do you know just how terrible a job you must be doing as a Democrat DA to lose the endorsements of both Boston newspapers, on the same day?

With her office engulfed in a major, festering State Police scandal/cover up, Marian Ryan is reduced to running her final campaign on a single issue.

“I am woman, hear me snore.” Not roar, snore.

That’s it. Pay no attention to the dysfunction in her office. She’s the only female DA in the state. So what?

In Marian Ryan’s case, gender is the last refuge of a scoundrel.

She’s running against David Solet, a straight-arrow from Cambridge who used to work in her office.

Both editorials endorsing Solet yesterday dwelled on the motor vehicle homicide by one of Ryan’s longtime State Police detectives, Scott Quigley. In December 2023, he went to a bar in Woburn, where her offices are located.

Leaving the bar in his unmarked cruiser after dark, he was reportedly doing 59 mph in a 35-mph zone, when he crossed a double yellow line and killed a guy in a van for the disabled.

At the hospital that evening, Quigley’s blood-alcohol level was recorded as .114 – way above the .08 legal limit for intoxication, records state.

Quigley got a warning — for killing someone. Then he was promoted to sergeant. And no one outside the MSP and Marian Ryan’s office knew anything about the dead guy or Quigley’s alleged .114 BAC until January of this year.

For 25 months they covered up an alleged homicide by one of their fellow cops. And the ancient DA with the Moe Howard haircut says she knew nothing.

Nothing!

Turns out, at least one other state cop in Ryan’s office was drinking with Quigley that afternoon. Another of her staties knew about it and told someone else in the office to “take it to his grave.” At least one other trooper in the office has been transferred as well since the scandal broke.

That makes at least four troopers, and one civilian employee of Marian Ryan’s, who knew.

But the boss knew nothing. That’s her story and she’s sticking to it.

Quigley is just the latest scandal in her office. How about Jerry Remy’s son, Jared? A serial domestic abuser, in 2013 Ryan let Remy go on no bail. He immediately went out and stabbed his girlfriend to death.

How about when Ryan took orders from Monica Cannon-Grant, the 300-pound BLM race grifter and now convicted welfare fraudster? That was in 2021, when a black teenage lesbian hanged herself in Hopkinton.

Monica sensed a Tawana Brawley-type score. She cowed Ryan into “investigating” five local teens who were on surveillance video at a local fast food place at the time of the obvious suicide.

But Marian went along with the hoax, for months. It was another profitable grift for Cannon-Grant.

Remember the Ponzo brothers, the crooked Stoneham cops who went to prison for stealing $40 million from MassSaves? A cop whistleblower went to the DA’s office and presented evidence that one of the Ponzos was also ripping off a police-union account.

Marian’s minions weren’t interested. The whistleblower picked up his paperwork and went to the feds. It took the G-men about 10 minutes to figure out the fraud — $40 million!

I’m sure Marian Ryan knew nothing about the Ponzos. Just like with Quigley.

In 2020, she signed on to all the BLM defund-the-police nonsense, because it was the happenin’ thing. Along with a bunch of crooked Soros DA’s, Ryan took a pledge not to take endorsements from police unions.

This is the statement Marian Ryan signed:

“The interest being advanced by police unions is not the safety of our communities, but rather protecting themselves and maintaining the harmful, broken criminal legal system.”

Just ask Sgt. Scott Quigley.

“When police misconduct occurs, it is our responsibility to consider those cases with the same objectivity and analysis we apply to any other case.”

Like you did with your pal Quigley, Marian?

In her dotage, Marian Ryan has rallied the Golden Girls of Massachusetts politics to save her wrinkly hide. Earlier this month, the League of Women Voters in Newton sponsored a forum for her and her opponent Solet.

Among her friends in the audience: 83-year-old state Sen. Cynthia Creem and 85-year-old ex-Rep. Kay Khan.

Ryan’s having a time Friday morning at the lobbyist-heavy UMass Club on Beacon Street. In addition to the very ethical Attorney General Andrea Campbell, also expected are the 73-year-old Senate president Karen Spilka, the 74-year-old Sen. Cindy Friedman, as well as the aforementioned 83-year-old Creem.

A Marian Ryan rally looks like God’s waiting room.

Then Sunday Ryan will be speaking at yet another all-female get-together, this one in Weston – at the Annual Women’s Potluck Lunch 2026.

Essex County hack Eileen Duff, age 66, will be there, as well as Governor’s Councilor Mara Dolan. She’s the one who recently proclaimed her concerns that an actual prosecutor on the Parole Board might “go too far in ensuring public safety.”

You will never, ever have that problem with Marian Ryan. Vote for Solet.
