Yet another ‘anecdote’ about an illegal immigrant

When President Trump tweeted yesterday about illegal alien criminals “infesting” America, perhaps he was thinking of Patricia Pimentel.

Because this woman checks all sorts of boxes that the president was referring to:

Illegal alien? Check. Alleged heroin dealer? Check. Dominican? Check. Applied for “Dreamer” status? Check. Lives in Lawrence? Check. Claims she barely speaks English? Check. Has filed a civil suit against some governmental agency? Check.

Pimentel was arrested last week by the Tewksbury Police and charged with trafficking in heroin. According to the police report, an undercover cop paid her $660 for three “fingers” of heroin. When she met the cop, “she put the heroin inside of the baby formula container which was in the white plastic bag.”

To paraphrase George W. Bush, she was only selling the heroin Americans couldn’t be bothered selling.

Let’s go to the police report:

“I asked Pimentel if she spoke English, to which she stated she only spoke a little. Det. Gonzalez then read Pimentel her Miranda Rights in Spanish…. I then asked her who she just met with before being stopped, and at this point she invoked her right to an attorney.”

Hmmm, despite her alleged language deficiencies, Pimentel seems to have assimilated rather well in other aspects of American life, like demanding a free lawyer.

And now it turns out that indeed the alleged heroin dealer is no stranger to our legal system. Here’s a headline from last October:

“Woman Charged with OUI in Methuen Part of a Class Action Suit Against City.”

Pimentel, now 24, was charged with drunk driving in October 2014. Her attorney told NBC Boston that she was “fleeing an abusive boyfriend and crashed into two cars after a night where she had been out with friends.”

According to the lawsuit, she was “coerced” into taking a Breathalyzer test. The problem was a standard form that the Methuen police were using that said the legal blood alcohol limit is .10 when it is now actually .08.

My radio producer called her civil attorney Howard Cooper yesterday and asked if her arrest and possible deportation might affect the class-action lawsuit.

“We’re still assessing,” he said.

After her arrest, Tewksbury police called an ICE agent, who “stated that Pimentel was here under DACA application which was declined… I was later contacted by Agent Crutchfield who stated that he would be issuing a detainer for Pimentel based on confirmation that she either lacks immigration status or, notwithstanding such status, she is removable under U.S. Immigration Law.”

Apologists for this illegal crime wave always say these are just “anecdotes.” Yeah, right. Here are two weeks of “anecdotes” from the US attorney in Boston, and these are only Dominicans, forget all the other illegals committing crimes:

June 7: Leader of Lawrence-Based Fentanyl and Heroin Trafficking Organization Pleads Guilty/ Defendant admitted to being deported four times.

June 8: Dominican National Charged with Identity Theft.

June 14: Two Dominican Nationals and One Cape Cod Man Charged with Fentanyl Trafficking.

How about some recent press releases from the US attorney in Rhode Island?

June 4: Dominican National Admits to Being Armed Career Criminal, Trafficking Fentanyl, Heroin, Cocaine and Meth.

June 8: Two Dominican Nationals Detained for Possession of Fraudulent Credit Card, ID Document Manufacturing Equipment.

June 13: Illegal Alien Deported Three Times Sentenced to 29 Months in Prison for Illegal Reentry.

It’s all part of the “fundamental transformation” of America, as Obama put it. But back to Pimentel. I wondered if she checked one final box – is she voting in el cuidad de Lawrence? A call was placed to the city clerk. Is Patricia Pimentel of 101 Shawsheen Road Apt. 8 registered to vote?

The answer was, “Not yet.”

If we’re lucky, not ever. Not unless she ends up in front of Judge Timothy “Touchy” Feeley.
