Silver Lining Reading for Today - 11.4.26

Ok so we got walloped. There is no getting around that.

But there is only so much wallowing over politics that I am willing to participate in.

It is time--yes, already-- to start looking for silver linings and regrouping.

Here are a few of my favorite pieces today if you are done with the sulking and ready for the bright side.

  1. John Hinderaker: A Reason for Optimism

"So we conservatives have a great deal of work to do, but we shouldn’t despair. Things change in politics, and they can change fast."

2. LIZ PEEK: There may be a silver lining in Trump's brutal midterm defeat

"If there is a silver lining in this harsh outcome for the GOP, it may be that Democratic dysfunction will undermine the momentum we saw Tuesday, allowing Republicans and President Trump to regroup."

3. A.J. Christopher: About Last Night: The Silver Lining, and the Path Forward

"The left will show the country who they really are. There won't be much about health care or climate change. There will be a lot about illegals, the LGBTQ clown car, and the global intifada. Trump and the Republican minority will correctly be seen as the last line of defense holding back the leaking dam of lunacy. If we play the optics right, if we elect strong candidates for the next election, and if we don’t get in the way of the Democrats making fools of themselves, we’ll be in a good position for 2028. The saying goes that things get worse before they get better. Well, things just got worse. But they will get better. In the meantime, make the peace and tell the truth."
