A guy asked me a good question on X last week:

“Does Maura Healey know anybody who’s ‘on the level?’”

You can understand why somebody would wonder. So today I wanted to just check out a few of the very ethical public servants she’s had her pictures taken with.

Can somebody say, rogues’ gallery?

Let’s start with Mayor Brian DePena of Lawrence. Why is this man smiling?

It couldn’t have been any jokes the governor was telling, because he barely speaks English. He’s been indicted on four counts of wire fraud and money laundering -- $1.5 million in, what else, welfare fraud.

Of course he was born in the Dominican Republic. Alcalde DePena has learned how to pick up our pesos a lot quicker than he ever learned how to pick up our lingo.

How about LaMar Cook? In this magic memory, he’s bonding with the governor at a kielbasa festival in Chicopee. Kielbasa, the governor – fill in your own joke here.

Healey loves the guy, even though he’s now in jail after being charged as a drug king-pin who delivered more than 15 pounds of cocaine to her own personal office in Springfield.

Maura’s government has given LaMar a series of slobbering wet kisses – first a $115,000 hack job, then a $31,000 severance after he was lugged.

Then his mother pocketed $1 million from the Democrat-run state lottery, after which he was handed $2500 in tax refunds and then the very competent Department of Transitional Assistance put him on $546 a month food stamps.

Maura Healey is “proud” of the State Police – “my State Police,” as she calls him. And one of the troopers she’s proudest of is the one she was pinning a medal on at the State House – Trooper Ryan “Condoms” Costello.

Condoms is currently on paid leave. He was the trooper assigned to Martha’s Vineyard, who let a friend stay at the barracks. The visitor, a Boston thug, is now charged with raping a young Irish girl in the barracks.

Before using her for his own unspeakable ends, prosecutors say the alleged rapist texted Costello and asked him where the troopers kept their condoms.

How about Rep. John Lawn, a hack’s hack from Watertown? Last year after he was arrested in the wee small hours of the morning outside the State House and taken down to the Nashua Street Jail, allegedly drunk as a… state rep.

“While going into the cell,” the Boston Police report states, “the suspect placed the urine sample cup on the counter inside the cell and attempted to pee into the cup while it was on the counter.”

Just how drunk was Comrade Lawn, Governor?

“Officers asked the suspect to do it at the toilet. The suspect proceeded to pee into the cup and after he finished urinating, he emptied the contents of the cup into the toilet and gave the empty cup to the nurse.”

We’re talking more than one bad ice cube here.

“Officers observed that the suspect may have urinated on himself as there were wet spots on his shirt and pants.”

Did I mention that he informed the cops, “I am a state rep.”

They knew, Mr. Chairman. They could tell by the piss stains on your pants.

And then we have the latest of Maura’s friends – Chief Todd Christopher Minardi of Westborough, who makes $215,545 a year.

Guy lives in Grafton, where his brother Neil is the police chief. But the other night he slept in his car in the parking lot of Star Liquors in Shrewsbury. Check out this photo – neither he nor the governor are wearing shoes. At least the chief kept his socks on.

The Shrewsbury police report didn’t tell us the make and model of his car – Ford Explorer – but they did include his license plate number – 4LW C91.

That comes back as a “covert plate,” meaning, untraceable. Such plates are supposed to be used by cops for surveillance, with the bad guys unable to figure out who’s following them.

Reality is, they’re also used for mid-day trysts in no-tell motels, weekday rounds of golf and early weekends to the Cape.

And, of course, sleeping all night in the parking lot of Star Liquors on Route 9.

I mention this only because Maura Healey, who gladly handed over a “covert plate” to her pal Shoeless Todd, refuses to give any to those evil ICE agents. The reason? Those cops might use them to actually arrest illegal alien rapists, murderers, fentanyl dealers, etc.

If you want to know who’s going to get jammed up next, just look at Maura’s Instagram feed. If you’re indicted, you’re invited!
