While yes, hindsight is 20/20... there were plenty of people in powerful positions who did not take the authoritarian route like Sir Gavin.
There were governors like Ron DeSantis who were courageous enough to keep the beaches open.
And how did Newsom treat those people?
He maligned them.
Oh and lest we forget... he also broke his own Covid diktats in order to dine with his fabulous friends at the French Laundry.
If this guy really wants to make amends for his participation in the lockdowns, he should start with a very simple, "I was wrong and I'm sorry."
