Sgt. Yuri Bukhenik had a rough day on the stand. Wrapping up week 3 of the Karen Read retrial, defense attorney Alan Jackson cross-examined the Massachusetts State Police Sergeant on a variety of subjects including Brian Higgins’ texts with Karen Read, the evidence collected at 34 Fairview and the meaning of the word “theory”.

But perhaps the most concerning moment for Yuri came when discussing a key evidence bag he collected at the scene of the crime.

Bukhenik will be back on the stand on Monday. Could it get worse? We will have to wait and see.
