It really is astonishing how insane President Trump can drive the Left.
All the man has to do is enforce law and order and they lose their ever-loving minds.
This week, President Trump invoked the D.C. Home Rule, allowing him to federalize the D.C. Metro Police and instruct them to work alongside added reinforcements from the National Guard to do a crime sweep of the nation’s capitol.
So far, the innovative move to severely implement standard protocol has netted scores of arrests, gun seizures, captures of illegal immigrants, and more.
What could there possibly be to complain about? The streets of Washington, D.C. are now safer, cleaner, and more accessible to residents and tourists. Less crime means more tourism dollars, an invigorated local business scene, and a thriving working class. What more could one want out of a municipality?
Apparently, a safe, clean environment is enough to enrage the libs. Who would have thought that providing residents with the services they pay taxes for in an effective manner was not what they wanted at all? Don’t progressives strive for some sort of utopia through their politics?
I suppose since utopic results are being achieved through the enforcement of pre-existing laws and not through an abject lack thereof, Democrats aren’t allowed to appreciate what they’ve always desired.
And it’s not really the means by which these results are achieved. The National Guard has served under all manner of presidents, in any and all circumstances.
It’s simply because it’s Trump who gave the orders.
I really can’t understand this mentality they have. It’s very difficult for me to wrap my brain around.
For instance, if there was someone in my life that I absolutely despised for no reason, and they wanted to win my approval and friendship by ensuring my home was not in danger of being ransacked by thugs, simultaneously padding may bank account because his business (the economy) was doing so well, and settling disputes throughout the neighborhood… I’d really have no choice but to be grateful to this person.
Alas, liberals do not think with reason or logic of any sort. And simply because they are told to hate the man who is handing them their country back, and on a silver platter to boot, they blindly do so.
Trump was labeled – get this – racist and dictatorial for wanting a safer capitol that can set a standard for the rest of the nation on how a city should be maintained. How original.
And now, as Trump is on the precipice of peace in Europe, he is somehow enabling and legitimizing a dictator.
The one thing all of these Ukraine flag-flying loonies have wanted since Russia first invaded under the Biden administration – peace – is within reach. The groundwork was laid this week at Trump’s historic meeting with Putin for an end to the war.
Yes, Trump came away with no guarantees. But a meeting was held, understandings were acknowledged, and advancement towards a ceasefire seems likely.
But again, because it’s Trump, this is all very unacceptable.
I don’t know what to do with these people anymore, other than to sit back and laugh. It can’t be very fun to pretend to hate the world that is improving around you because you’re not allowed by your party to show any signs of satisfaction.
I just want to reassure my liberal friends that it’s ok to enjoy the fruits of policy, even though it’s not your party enacting it. In fact, if you do find yourself enjoying the fruits of Trump’s policies, I’d encourage you to jump ship and change party affiliation.
