No talent is not enough.
If Kamala Harris loses next month, Gore Vidal’s old aphorism could serve as the epitaph for her below-average political career.
Has there ever been a worse major presidential candidate? Has she ever said anything memorable, forget memorable, even anything remotely coherent?
Why did she do the Fox News interview? Her campaign is not going well, I get it. But there is an old saying that someone like Kamala Harris should take to heart more than most people:
“It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt.”
No wonder she didn’t show up at the Al Smith dinner in New York last night. To a battle of wits she comes unarmed, as Billy Bulger used to say of hack politicians who, compared to Kamala, comported themselves with the intellectual rigor of Winston Churchill.
The Fox News interview was just the culmination of her career, such as it is.
Only 26 minutes, but she got hit with so many questions – illegal aliens, the wrong direction of America, Biden’s dementia, Iran, the economy, taxpayer-funded genital mutilation etc. etc. And the answer was also the same.
“Donald Trump… Donald Trump… Donald Trump… Donald Trump….”
That’s all she’s got. She’s Johnny One-Note. And she can barely even deliver that message. Here she is in full rhetorical flourish:
“This is a democracy and in a democracy the president of the United States in the United States of America should be willing to be able to handle criticism without saying he would lock people up for doing it.”
Huh? What the bleep is she talking about? And by the way, she said this less than a week after she was with Dementia Joe at a press conference about the regime’s catastrophically bad response to Hurricane Helene and snarls that all his critics “are going to pay a price for” criticizing him.
Pay a price? You mean, like, getting locked up? Biden has publicly mused about using fighter jets against his opponents. They’ve tried to throw any number of their political opponents into prison, up to and including Donald Trump.
It was all BS, a terrible answer. But she doesn’t care. Neither do her fluffers in the press, or her supporters in the non-working classes.
She’s not smart enough to answer the simplest question. She takes no responsibility for any of the lunatic policies she’s ever endorsed. She “feels awful” about all the young American women murdered by the tattooed Third World savages she waved into the country and put on cradle-to-grave welfare.
She “feels awful.”
Fox anchor Bret Baier asked Kamala if she still supports free taxpayer-funded genital mutilation for imprisoned illegal-alien gang bangers.
“I’ll follow the law.”
But in 2019, Kamala, you bragged about working “behind the scenes” to make sure “every” inmate can get a sex change. You told the ACLU the same damn thing. Then you said it was the law under Donald Trump.
But the first free sex-change took place under Dementia Joe. How do we know this? The Trump-Vance put out a press release… before the Fox interview… quoting the ACLU press release from 2022.
Kamala Harris apparently didn’t know anything about it, or she was just plain lying again when she blamed Trump for her own cherished “gender-reassignment” policy.
Baier asked her a question about Joe Biden’s senility. What did you know and when did you know it?
Her answer was basically, “Donald Trump.” As in, Joe’s gone and I’m on the ballot against…. you know who.
Of course, the problem with that answer is that: a) either she knew Biden was cooked (as did everyone paying attention) and lied about it for more than three years, or b) she is so stupid that she never noticed that Biden belongs in a nursing home.
There is no wrong answer, but I’m going with b).
As for Joe Biden himself, before she went out there, Joe gave her one of his trademark endorsements, and of course, all dialogue guaranteed verbatim:
“She beat Trump so badly in the debate, he’s scared to death to beat her again.”
Can we quote you on that, Mr. President?
At least Kamala didn’t lie about crime being down. On the morning of the interview, the Democrat FBI got caught lying about the statistics, the way the Democrat Bureau of Labor Statistics lies every month about the job numbers.
The story earlier this week about the serial plagiarism in her 2009 book had already been buried.
It’s only a “handful” of passages, the Washington Post said, using the word of the week among Kamala’s Alibi Ikes. And it’s a “nuanced” thing, because with Democrats it always is.
Baier asked her why “more than 70 percent of Americans say the country’s on the wrong track… If you’re turning the page you’ve been in office for three and a half years.”
Kamala Harris: “And Donald Trump has been running for office.”
Baier pointed out that she’s been in office, and she replied:
“You know what I mean.”
“No,” he said, “actually I don’t.”
In 2016, one of the knocks on Hillary Clinton was that she reminded every guy of his first ex-wife. This year, Kamala Harris reminds every guy of his second ex-wife.
