How brainwashed is the left?
That is the only way to describe the complacency of affluent, left-leaning voters. In a recent text to voters regarding ending the huge and costly influx of migrants into Massachusetts, voter responses included “already voted against you and your so-called “migrant crisis”.
Other replies included, Stop the rhetoric,” “fxxx you. They have the right to live here,” “racist,” “racist rhetoric,” and “Don’t pick on these defenseless people.”
However, the migrant crisis is reality, not rhetoric. How much public money does Gov. Healey have to lavish upon these illegal aliens before they realize it is a crisis?
One billion dollars to house illegal aliens is not a crisis? That’s a billion dollars not going back to our communities in the form of local aid. That’s $1 billion not helping our seniors and veterans.
But the truth of the matter is that this invasion of illegal aliens from the Third World is costing far more than $1 billion. Before Healey took office, we know that the Commonwealth was spending over $2 billion per year on welfare for all these illegals.
According to the Center for Immigration Studies, Massachusetts had 225,000 illegals in-state with 25 percent of them on welfare. That’s 56,000 collecting benefits – probably an undercount.
If each illegal receives $1000 a month in benefits, that amounts to $56 million per month, or $672 million per year. However, we know that Massachusetts has the most generous handouts to the non-working classes in the country. With the benefits, housing, health care, education, and all the other giveaways, we have been spending $2 billion.
Healey squandered $1 billion on housing for the undocumented Democrats last year. The legislature has approved another $500 million for this fiscal year. It is a stop-gap measure to give legislators the appearance that the Commonwealth is not still hemorrhaging money for the illegals.
As soon as the election is over, the State House will be coming for more money for them.
So now we are up to $1.5 billion for the new influx of unskilled, non-English-speaking, unvetted hordes of foreign freeloaders. The pain doesn’t stop there. Taxpayers are funding $64 per day per migrant for food –and some have the unmitigated gall to complain about the quality of their free eats.
The state has appropriated $200 million for attorneys, so they can sue for yet more free stuff while simultaneously claiming that they’re being discriminated against.
We spent $8 million for transportation for the migrants just at the Clarion Hotel in Taunton. On Cape Cod it was $6.8 million for taxis.
Each hotel that’s converted into a flophouse for foreign freeloaders has stopped paying municipal taxes to the communities. That has cost the city of Taunton, to cite just one example, $116,000 in revenue.
Taxpayers are also on the hook for the damages being caused at these hotels, and the cost, in some case, of round-the-clock police details to deal with the chaos caused by hundreds of foreigners who don’t work congregating in one place.
Then there are the educational and health care costs. They all get translators – free. And we wonder why they don’t seem to be learning English very quickly.
In short, we would be lucky if it was only $1 billion!
So when does it become a crisis to these brainwashed liberals? I say we need more Clarion hotels in the high-end communities to educate the remaining Healey supporters that it is a damn crisis.
