There is at least one flourishing industry left in Massachusetts – welfare fraud.
But sometimes it seems like welfare grifting has been totally taken over by illegal aliens. The brazen Third World freeloaders just seem so much more adept at welfare scamming, as well as at most other kinds of crime, than our native shiftless population.
But the declining American population is still hanging on in at least one traditional welfare racket — Social Security grifting.
It’s always been a problem, of course. Mom, or Dad, or some drink- or drug-addled worthless sibling gets on the dole. But after decades of finishing life at home in his spare time, the “earner” finally expires.
The survivor, with whom the recipient lived, or whose bank account he controlled, suddenly realizes the horrible truth.
That their monthly kiss in the mail – most likely the only money that’s been coming into the household – is about to be halted, as soon as the guardian sends the feds Dear Old Dad’s death certificate.
Maybe the stay-at-home loser is desperate, and figures to collect just one more check… or two… or three. No one will ever notice….
And no one ever did. Certainly not under Joe Biden. Letting US citizens steal a few billion here and there was the Democrats’ version of “equity” – affirmative-action stealing short money for actual American citizens, with no oversight, while funneling untold billions to the “migrants.”
But now Americans control the Department of Justice again. And so the crackdown on the Biden regime’s trillion-dollar welfare fraud fest has extended beyond the traditional Haitians, Somalis and “John Does” – Juan Doughs, as I call them, in their native lingo.
Here are a few headlines from the last month from the US attorney’s office in Boston. The most astonishing thing about these arrests is that the G-men are in fact collaring American citizens, mostly in their 50s, in addition to illegal aliens!
“Lynn Man Pleads Guilty to Receiving Stolen Government Money and Making False Statements.”
“Gardner Woman Pleads Guilty to Social Security Fraud.”
“Winthrop Man Charged with Receiving Stolen Government Money and Social Security Fraud.”
“Barre Woman Charged with Social Security Fraud.”
Let’s start with “Lynn Man,” one James C. Burdulis, age 57. He was the guardian for “PERSON 1” who died in May 2019. He’s now pleaded guilty to stealing $63,959 in Social Security benefits starting in June 2019.
According to death records, Burdulis had a brother who died in May 2019. The obituary says his brother “liked his beer.”
You can almost understand how Burdulis got into trouble. He’s living in Lynn, Lynn, the City of Sin, where the illegals figure you must be a jerk if you work, to write some new lyrics for the old doggerel.
Burdulis must have seen all the freeloading cholos in Lynn never appearing outside their luxurious Section 8 penthouses until noon, loading up on lobster and filet mignon at the Basket, driving around in $90,000 SUV’s. And he must have asked himself… why not an Americano like me?
Not only was Burdulis grabbing “PERSON 1’s” Social Security check, he also ripped off “state supplemental payments and COVID economic impact payments (EIP).”
Thirty-two hundred bucks, to mitigate the damage to someone who’d been dead for a year before the hoax was even hatched. How Lynn is that?
When Burdulis is sentenced, I would suggest that he throw himself on the mercy of the court and say:
“I ask for no special treatment, Your Honor. Just treat me like you’d treat like anyone of my illegal-alien neighbors. Or failing that, at least like Monica Cannon-Grant.”
Jennifer Valley, age 51, lives in Barre. She’s been charged with stealing $100,218.50 between October 2022 and August of last year. Notice, the scam she’s accused of started under Biden and was halted once Trump returned to office.
Do you suppose all these Social Security scammers watched the election returns in November 2024 and had the bleak realization that, “Uh-oh, the free ride is coming to an end….”
Michelle M. DiSalvo, age 53, of Gardner, has just pleaded guilty to fraudulently receiving Social Security disability handouts for a decade.
DiSalvo must be a gringo, because she made the kind of mistake cholos never, ever do. She got married. The amigos all know never to get hitched. Holy matrimony is nothing but problems, as DiSalvo can sadly tell you now.
“In assessing a married individual’s eligibility for SSI, the income and resources of the applicant’s spouse is considered….”
Solution: don’t get married. And when you drop the anchor baby, they can’t come after the illegal-alien sperm donor. No, the support is left to the stupid Americanos who actually have jobs and pay taxes.
“Between December 2014 and August 2023, DiSalvo continued to conceal that she lived with her husband… omitted her husband because she knew that if she reported living with him, DiSalvo’s husband’s income and resources would have made ineligible for SSI.”
As it was, between 2013 and 2023, she pocketed $93,640 in SSI disability payments.
Illegal aliens see that number and think, ten years to steal less than 100 grand? She’d never make the Haitian or Somali All-Star Stealing Team.
Then there’s Kenneth Riel, age 51, from Winthrop. Imagine what he must have seen over the years, driving home through East Boston, a holy city in the Welfare Industrial Complex.
According to the charges against Riel, he allegedly stole $88,383.06 in Social Security benefits “which he knew to have been embezzled, stolen, purloined or converted.”
Purloined! What a great word.
One last point. Where did Budulis, the “Lynn Man,” spend all his stolen welfare money?
“At convenience stores, grocery stores, coffee shops, fast-food restaurants, gas stations and pharmacies near his residence….”
Burdulis will be sentenced July 8. Is it too late for him to renounce his US citizenship and declare himself an illegal alien? In which case the sentencing Democrat judge, Allison Burroughs, will not only give him no jail time but also order the feds to provide him with reparations.
And he’ll probably be the frontrunner to be elected the next mayor, er alcalde, of Lynn.
