Gaslighting is not just happening in the Presidential race with Kamala Harris now being portrayed as intelligent, not to mention the rewriting of her abysmal record on the border.
Gov. Maua Healey is doing it at the state level.
Did you see the University of New Hampshire’s poll last week?
Probably not, because the Massachusetts media are in the bag for Healey. The polls finally revealed what we all understood was happening: Healey’s popularity is falling like a rock.
She now has a disapproval rating of 46 percent, which is higher than her approval rating. That’s quite newsworthy, but no outlet said a word!
Healey must have seen the poll, because this week she has announced “crackdowns” on the illegal immigrants, or as she calls them, the “newcomers.” Our Governor is going to get tough on them. I am sure the illegals are quaking in their boots!
I’m kidding, of course.
Senate President Karen Spilka and Speaker Ron Mariano endorsed the Governor’s new proposals, so they must have seen the poll as well. The numbers indicate not only Healey’s unpopularity, but also how illegal immigration has become a top issue in Massachusetts.
Who would have thought that our state’s most pressing issue would be the same as Texas’?
The Healey hotels are not going over well with the voters, so we are now supposed to believe that after spending well over a billion dollars to house, feed and provide everything else free in America for the illegals, now she is cracking down.
With 103 days left until the election, this is pure fantasy.
As you may remember, last fall Healey announced that she was capping the number of illegals at 7500 families. (Of course she claimed that some in the shelters were actually Americans who are lawfully present here, but c’mon….)
Anyway, we all know that there were no real “caps,” because she’s had to open new housing locations, such as the closed prison in Norfolk and at Logan Airport.
Then the legislature passed their phony-baloney nine-month cap for housing. As predicted by me and many other conservatives, no one moved out. There were more loopholes than enforcement in the bill.
To continue the theatrics on this costly problem that is destabilizing the Commonwealth, Healey sent hacks to the border to pass out pamphlets telling them not to make Massachusetts their destination – wink wink nudge nudge.
Naturally, with our state’s cradle-to-grave Cadillac welfare paradise, not to mention next to no law enforcement for illegals, the torrent of Third World criminals has not abated.
All of Healey’s grandstanding gestures had nothing to do with solving the problem.
Nothing!
The Right-to-Shelter law must be amended so these illegals are not entitled to our taxpayer funded benefits. Until that happens, law-abiding working-class Americans are going to continue paying billions to support non-law-abiding, non-working-class non-Americans.
Healey is gaslighting us all with every new proposal and press conference on the issue.
Don’t fall for it. Pass the word.
