How do you appropriate another $425 million to pay for more emergency housing for illegal aliens?
In 2026, there will not be that extra turnout of low-info and no-info Democrats in the Commonwealth that we experience in a Presidential year. Hence, Gov. Maura Healey and her legislative allies may have some trouble on the horizon in their respective re-election campaigns.
Healey is an ultra-woke lunatic, so she is absolutely committed to bringing in as many illegal future Democrat voters as possible. There is no reasoning with her. The only way to change her mind would be to convince the super-green governor that the illegals only want to drive gas-guzzling cars, because climate change is her religion.
Despite Healey being a complete moonbat, she can still sense the dissatisfaction brewing. She knows that no one is writing articles about how she is the most popular Governor in the country. In fact, her polling numbers are never mentioned in any of the daily leftist newsletters because they are as low as outgoing President Joe Biden’s.
That means Beacon Hill political hacks will want to distance themselves from her and her policies. Now you know why Healey gave them an 11 percent pay raise. It wasn’t a reflection on job performance. It was yet another political payoff, using our tax dollars.
The pay raise was announced and then days later Healey filed the supplemental budget with another $425 million for the illegal alien criminals from the Third World. That brings the state’s tally to over $2 billion for emergency housing.
And that $2 billion doesn’t include their transportation, meals, health care, or education. And it certainly doesn’t include public safety or the background checks Healey promised us in March that she was doing, and now admits in January that she wasn’t.
Our governor did try to provide cover to the legislators with her recently announced six-month cap on stays. But, seeing as the amount the state is spending did not decrease with the nine-month limit, why would it now go down with six months? It won’t, because Healey is moving the illegals from emergency shelters to the Home Base Program giving them apartments not for six or nine months, but rather 2 years!
So much for wanting to make housing affordable in Massachusetts!
Healey is also buying off the legislature by turning a blind eye to the fight over the legislative audit that 72 percent of the electorate voted for two months ago.
The governor, who promised to be the most transparent in the Commonwealth’s history, has no position on the audit. She is a true profile in courage—NOT!
At the State House, it is never about policy or people. It is always about politics and payoffs. And once again the bottom line is that we are getting screwed.
