The Healey administration has revealed it’s housing 1245 “families” with 3853 individuals in free hotels with free housing nightly as of June 29. Finally, too, we have a list of the 24 cities/towns where the illegals are being warehoused by MA.
The letter from the Healey administration came in response to a FOIA request by Rep. Peter Durant, who is running in special election for vacant Senate seat. Healey flak makes no distinction with citizens and “newly-arrived families,” so we don’t know how many are illegals.
Here is Rep. Peter Durant’s list of questions that was sent to Gov. Healey’s office:
1. How many hotels has the state contracted with to house migrants, illegal immigrants, and refugees?
2. How many hotel/motel rooms being presently paid for by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts?
3. How many meal plans at hotel and motels is the state presently paying for migrants, illegal immigrants and refugees?
4. What are the current hotels and motels being contracted with to house migrants, illegal immigrants and refugee? Please provide the name of the business and the location.
5. How many hotels/motels is the state presently negotiating with to house more migrants, illegal immigrants, and refugees?
6. How long are these contracts with the hotels/motels?
7. How long will be the average stay of these migrants, illegal immigrants or refugees in the hotel/motel?
8. Are you reimbursing communities for public safety and educational costs?
9. Has the state hired new translators? If so, how many? How much is that costing?
Here is the Healey response, with new statistics highlighted. Notice, illegals are being kept in cities outside Boston.
Stay tuned, as this story is developing. Rep. Peter Durant will join the Howie Carr Show live at 5:30 P.M. Tune in here:
