Please, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, don’t let Martha’s Vineyard have all the fun with illegal aliens.
You must remember, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts has more than 300 communities. And at least 20 or 30 of them are as deeply in need of a good, hard celebration of diversity as Martha’s Vineyard no doubt is.
Governor, if you’re going to start sending the Bay State more planeloads of the illegal Haitians wading ashore in Florida and heading directly to the welfare office, you could at least spread the wealth around
Brookline, Cambridge, Provincetown, Newton, Lincoln, Arlington….
I have a list of the cities and towns that really, really need thousands of illegal aliens. You can identify these communities by the signs on their well-manicured front lawns.
“Hate Has No Home Here.”
But when you ask them to step up and do the right thing, rather than just running their mouths, you’ll find out what these Democrats’ signs should really say:
“Haiti Has No Home Here.”
To paraphrase another of the Beautiful People’s favorite virtue-signaling signs:
“Cannibalism? Not on My Watch!”
On a podcast this week, DeSantis described his state administration’s attempts to stop the hordes of freeloading foreigners from invading the Sunshine State by sea. But DeSantis hasn’t just got a navy, he’s got an air force.
“We do our transport program also,” he said, with a bit of a smirk on his face, “that’s going to be operational. So, Haitians land in the Florida Keys, their next stop may very well be Martha’s Vineyard.”
You recall how he sent a plane to the Vineyard back in 2022, full of Venezuelan criminals, and it was a perfect stunt. Everybody on Martha’s Vineyard welcomed them with open arms, for 44 hours, before the National Guard could arrive to herd the illegals off the island and back to where they belonged, which was somewhere else.
Anywhere else.
But actually, Governor, as good as the Martha’s Vineyard photo-op was, there are even better places you could deliver the next load of “newcomers?”
Can we agree that the more overwhelmingly a place voted for Joe Biden in 2020, the more they deserve to partake firsthand in their hero’s fundamental transformation of America into a Third World hellhole?
By that standard, Martha’s Vineyard shouldn’t even be in the top 10 locations for Haitians seeking permanent vacations in Massachusetts.
Consider: there are six towns on the Vineyard, and Biden’s percentages ranged from a low of 71% in Edgartown to 88% in tiny Gay Head, er Aquinnah.
Overall, the 2020 vote on MV was 9,762 for Biden and 2,587 for Trump, which works out to 79% for Dementia Joe.
Believe it or not, Massachusetts has more than 10 cities and towns that delivered an even higher percentage of votes for the guy who is, hands down, the worst president in American history.
And don’t those virtue-signaling NPR bastions deserve some of what they voted for?
As H.L. Mencken once wrote, “Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.”
And the more any place voted for Biden, the harder they deserve to get it.
Am I right, Gov. DeSantis?
I know, Obama and Kerry have mansions on the Vineyard, not to mention Larry David and other swells galore. The Vineyard’s legacies may have more money, but there are even more insane jurisdictions in the Commonwealth, and I have the PD 43 to prove.
Here are the places where Biden got an even higher vote than he did on the Vineyard. No surprise that Provincetown, on the rebound from that big monkey-pox scare earlier in 2020, comes in at number one at 92.4%, with Cambridge a close second at 92% for Biden.
How’s that big vote for the Democrats working out for the Jewish students in Cambridge being assaulted, harassed and chased across the campuses of Harvard and MIT?
Democrats engaging in mob rule to oppress minorities – who could have ever seen that coming?
Third most pro-Biden town – Amherst, at 90.7, another hotbed of rabid anti-Semitism.
Following are Somerville (88.1%), Brookline (87.6), Northampton (87.5),Williamstown (85), Arlington (83), Boston (82.9), Concord (82.1), Lincoln (82), Lexington (81.8), Newton (81.7) and Wellfleet (78.5).
There may be other smaller, even nuttier villages that I overlooked on that list. But the above are the biggies.
These are the People’s Republics that relish banning cigarettes while legalizing polyamory. In fact, what these wokesters really need is another nice gift from Florida – thousands more infectious-disease-carrying, tattooed, machete-wielding fentanyl dealers and, of course, unwed mothers. In short, undocumented Democrats.
Spread the wealth, Governor, although “wealth” is probably not the right word when you’re talking about these latest illegal aliens.
Governor, I know the recent presidential campaign didn’t really work out for you. But don’t take it out on the entire state of Massachusetts. A lot of places here really don’t deserve your wrath.
For starters, here are some of our larger communities who didn’t go all in on the fundamental transformation of America:
Rehoboth, Ludlow, Agawam, Acushnet, Carver, Dighton and Freetown.
Working class communities, in other words. They all voted Republican in 2020. Working class, as opposed to every other city and town in this column, all of which are bastions of… the non-working classes.
When you start sending up the flights, Governor, remember who your friends are in Massachusetts.
Because we’ll remember… in 2028.
