Impeachment nonsense provides cover for Dems’ daffy promises

The bonus for Democrats with this “impeachment” fandango is that no one is paying attention
to the really insane things that their ancient crackpot front-runners are promising.
Oh sure, the collateral damage from Ukraine is that Joe Biden is going down. But really, his
candidacy was unsalvageable even before video turned up of him bragging to the Council on
Foreign Relations about how he got the prosecutor going after his cocaine-addled son’s
company fired.
Trump is already sending out fundraising pitches calling Biden “Quid Pro Joe.” I’d describe him
as the designated fall guy but his fate is going to be worse than that.
Think of one of those nature documentaries about wildlife on the Serengeti. A herd of hoofed,
horned animals – gazelles? – is attacked by lions. The herd flees in panic, but one elderly, lame
gazelle can’t keep up, and the pack of hungry lions devour him as the younger beasts escape.
That’s Joe Biden. He’s being eaten alive, and he’s so far gone he doesn’t even know it. Maybe
it’s better that way.
Meanwhile, 76-year-old Joe’s top rivals, the 70-year-old fake Indian and the 78-year-old
Brooklyn Bolshevik with three homes, continue pandering, mostly under the radar screen of the
impeachment-crazed alt-left media.
Elizabeth Warren recently proposed a “wealth tax” – anyone with a net worth (as opposed to
income) of more than $50 million would have to pay an extra $1 million a year in taxes. Some
countries have tried this, but it only led to flight of capital and massive fraud. Among the
nations that eliminated the tax were France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Sweden and the
Netherlands.
Not to mention, what’s to stop some couple with a net worth of above $50 million from
divorcing to get under the threshold?
So Bernie Sanders took one look at the Warren plan (and most likely his drooping poll numbers)
and adjusted it to ensnare any taxpayer with a net worth of over $32 million.
Imagine that – usually, when a state passes a confiscatory new income tax for “millionaires,”
the Democrats wait until the so-called rich flee to Florida or Texas. Then they cut the threshold
to, say, anyone making over $50,000, who is henceforth defined for tax purposes as a
“millionaire.”
Bernie didn’t even wait for the divorces and other assorted tax dodges to begin. He dubbed his
fantasy plan an “extreme wealth tax.” Because Bernie knows extremism. And to keep track of
those evil people who go to work in the morning, he also proposed a “national wealth registry.”

Think about that one. I’m sure no one’s privacy or civil liberties would ever be violated, because
the feds always play by the rules and never abuse their powers. Just ask the FBI, the CIA, the
IRS, the FISA courts….
In announcing his plan, Bernie told The New York Times: “I don’t think that billionaires should
exist.”
Really? Are there any other groups of Americans that you think should not exist, Senator?
Of course both Sanders and the fake Indian also support “Medicare for All,” the only difference
being that Warren speaks with forked tongue about whether or not taxes would have to go up
under her scam, I mean plan.
They also both support Medicare for All for illegal aliens – free health care, in other words. Even
the lefty NBC poll indicates that’s an absolute non-starter with every demographic group, but
again, “impeachment” eating up all the airtime and ink.
These two parlor pinks are also in favor of “forgiving” student loans – a trillion-dollar sop mostly
to the upper middle classes at the expense of working people (as opposed to Democrats). Not
that you’ll ever see of any those analyses on CNN or MSNBC. They don’t advance The Ministry
of Truth’s narrative.
Last week the fake Indian again beat Bernie to the punch with a brand-new handout — her pie-
in-the-sky dream of jacking up everybody’s Social Security check by $200 a month.
As the Wall Street Journal noted, “The majority of Ms. Warren’s proposed bonanza would go to
middle- and upper-income seniors. About $51 billion would go to the 21 million (richest)
seniors… Seniors with income in the top 20% would receive $17 billion, more than twice what
would go to seniors in poverty.”
Right now nobody’s talking about any of this nonsense. That’s the good news for the
Democrats. The bad news is, there will come a day when impeachment is a distant memory,
like Robert Mueller, and when Quid Pro Joe’s bones are long since bleached white on the vast
plains on Tanzania… paging Donald Trump.
